Fantastic win for our U13 Green team girls in their championship semi-final. In a nervy, close game the girls left it late to secure a place in the final.

The girls started brightly taking some good scores which were quickly cancelled out by our opponents.

We took the lead shortly after when Lily won a ball she'd no right to win to get the game's first goal. Our opponents responded again with a period of pressure, scoring a goal right at half time to leave us 1 point behind at the break.

In the 2nd half the girls the girls started to get on top with Isabelle & Sadie starting to control the midfield.

A fantastic break by Sadie saw her score the goal of the game. Layla & Sophia M started to come into the game but some excellent defensive work saw us rack up wides rather than scores. Midway through the 2nd half we conceded two quick goals on the break to leave us 5 behind.

Needing to chase the game now we pressed high up the pitch. Some great defending from Keisha, Amelie & Sophia R stopped any more score against us. We stayed 5 behind going into the last 5 minutes but a goal from Layla cut the deficit. A point from Sophia M put us 1 point behind with time running out. Then with 2 mins left, a scramble around their goal gave Alanna the chance to slot home a goal that sent the girls to the final.
