An Cumann Ui Thuathail is very sad to announce the passing of one of our most revered members and ex player, the renowned author, friend of O’Toole’s Jimmy Wren.
In his youth Jimmy was a formidable player, passionate about the game. He was an integral part of the first senior hurling trophy that O'Toole's won in 1966. Jimmy also helped the team bring home their second senior trophy in 1968.
Jimmy was a man of many talents. His other passion was Irish history, in particular the 1916 rising, having written several books on the subject. He was a gifted writer, athlete, historian, artist and a true gentleman.
O’Toole’s would like to express our deepest sympathy to Jimmy’s sister Noleen and his nieces and nephew at this very sad time.
