The club are very sad to have lost a great club man in Noel Doolan. Noel was the captain of our first Senior Hurling Championship winning side in 1969.

A very talented hurler, Noel played centre half back on that famous team. Noel also played inter county hurling for Dublin and was a keen footballer for the club too.

Noel went on to manage a Senior Hurling Championship winning side for the club in 1984.

A talented man in many sports and an all round nice guy & gentleman. Noel will be sadly missed but never forgotten by all his friends and colleagues in St Laurence O’Tooles.

His funeral takes place tomorrow in our old parish in St Joesph’s Church East Wall at 11am and we encourage as many of our members to come along and celebrate Noel’s remarkable life.
